2.00pm Tour of the Observatory, Historical display, Optics for Telescopes
display, solar viewing.

3.00pm Saeed Salimpour, Ballarat Observatory Science Officer,  will speak
about Captain Henry Evans Baker, one of the first telescope makers in
Australia and the designer and builder of the 26 inch telescope now called
The Baker at the Observatory and John Brittain.

4 -5.45pm Historical display, optics for telescopes display, solar viewing.

5.45pm Viewing at the telescopes of Jupiter in the early evening and
Saturn later in the evening plus other objects.

SUNDAY
2.00pm Tour of the Observatory,Historical display, Optics for Telescopes
display, solar viewing.

3.00pm Dr Anne Beggs-Sunter, Federation University, will speak about James
Oddie, the founder of the Ballarat Observatory and involved with a number
of other institutions in early Ballarat.

4 -5.45pm Historical display, optics for telescopes display, solar viewing.

5.45pm Viewing at the telescopes of Jupiter in the early evening and
Saturn later in the evening plus other objects.

Third Rock Cafe open for refreshments or book for a meal as per website.
