Possible New Meteor Shower

Possible meteor activity due to Comet 209P/LINEAR:The Observatory will host a meteor watch from 5pm on Saturday 24th May in anticipation of a possible sighting of a new meteor shower.Although this is mainly a Northern Hemisphere location, observers in the Southern Hemisphere should try to observe around this time as well as there are many unknown factors in the timing, position of radiant/radiants, number of peaks  etc. On 24th May Gemini is setting just after the Sun which sets at 5.21pm AEST.  Contact 03 5332 7526 to book.
