Ballaarat Municipal Observatory



 
 

The I.O.O.F Window
This window was given by the Ballarat Independent Order of Oddfellows Lodges in 1915, but the reason for the gift is not known. This fraternal benefit Society was very active in Ballarat for many years. 
This is just one of 16 stained-glass windows donated by community groups between 1914 and 1929.

The IOOF Window

The IOOF window, gifted to the Observatory in 1915, was one of 16 stained-glass windows donated by community groups between 1914 and 1929.

The Observatory is located on the corner of Magpie and Cobden Street, Mount Pleasant, Ballarat East and is open every Friday evening.
